We bought a home and moved to Hopkinton in May of 2016. While the community was extremely friendly and encouraged me to pursue my cake designing business, I had nothing but opposition when I tried to obtain a business license and health permit. Thankfully there were many members of the Chambers that rallied behind me and coached me through the process. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and many of its board members went out of their way to attend a health department meeting and speak on my behave. I am certain that without the support of the Chambers my business would not be thriving today. I cannot recommend membership in the Hopkinton Chambers of Commerce enough!! Again, thank you for your support and encouragement.

I am the owner of CrossFit Resilience and I started my business about 2 years ago. I’m not from Hopkinton but I decided to try to build my business here because, on paper, the town had all the demographic attributes that I thought would help us to succeed. However, I was definitely nervous. Thankfully I received a tremendous amount of help from the Hopkinton Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber helped me to organize my grand opening, they guided me on how to advertise most effectively locally, and they helped me to navigate the resources in town hall. Then, after I got the business started, the Chamber’s networking events enabled me to establish some solid relationships with other local businesses. I don’t think that I would have received this type of assistance from most other towns.
